Facilities Inc.) Drive Test Technician · WFI was doing the preliminary testing for the new WiMax
technology. I was e-mailed on a daily basis the drive route, cell site
information, time and location of where we would be working for that
day. · Met up with the driver/assistant at the site, we would bring equipment
to the rooftop. Take measurements of the structure; which included the
building’s height, rooftop length and width, and the latitude and longitude
of the set up. · Setting up the equipment included: connecting the watt meter to
the transmitter to establish the power needed. Take pictures of every
setting to document all steps taken in the testing process: watt meter power;
reflected and forward power before the cable and after the cable to determine
power loss; frequency being used and the set up of the equipment. Get the
span and the azimuth of any obstruction that was in the line of site of the
antenna. · Take pictures of the surrounding area to establish what the antenna is
actually seeing; set up the computers,
confirm on the Cayote Receiver that the correct frequency is being
transmitted. Then proceed to navigate the route that the engineer had
made for that day. SPRINT/NEXTEL
